Why marketing agencies need multi-workspace social tools
If you're managing social media for 3+ clients, you've probably experienced this:
You're switching between browser tabs. Each tab is a different Buffer account, or Later, or Hootsuite. You accidentally post Client A's Christmas special to Client B's yoga studio account. Everyone freaks out.
Or the more subtle version: you spent 2 hours creating a beautiful calendar for Client A, and now you have to do the exact same manual work for Clients B, C, and D. You're not scaling — you're just doing 4x the work.
This is what multi-workspace tools solve.
What is a multi-workspace tool?
A multi-workspace platform gives you ONE login and dashboard that lets you manage many separate client accounts. Each client gets their own workspace with:
- Their own posts and drafts
- Their own connected social accounts
- Their own approvals workflow
- Their own team members
- Their own analytics
The alternative is chaos
Without a multi-workspace tool, most agencies end up doing one of these:
1. Multiple Buffer/Later/Hootsuite accounts
One account per client. You bounce between logins. You pay 5 subscription fees. There's no shared calendar view. You can't see all your clients at a glance.2. Spreadsheets and manual posting
"Just post everything manually." Except now you're glued to your phone at 9am on a Sunday because that's when Client X's post is supposed to go up.3. One "agency" Buffer account with all the client accounts loaded
Risky. One misclick and you post the wrong content to the wrong brand. Also: no workspaces means no isolation. If a client asks for their assets, you're spending hours filtering. What good multi-workspace software looks like
1. True workspace isolation. Content in Client A stays in Client A. No cross-contamination. 2. Client-specific team access. Your junior copywriter can access Client B's workspace without seeing Clients A, C, and D. 3. One shared calendar view. See all client posts across all workspaces on one calendar. 4. Per-workspace social connections. Each client's Facebook Page, Instagram, etc. is connected to THAT workspace. 5. Approval workflows tied to workspaces. Client A's approver only sees Client A's queue.
Why Orbit was built this way
Orbit exists because I ran a small agency and hit these exact walls. We tried Buffer for 3 clients, then Hootsuite, then Cloud Campaign. Each had gaps. Each cost too much.
So we built what we wanted:
- Unlimited team members (why should software charge extra per teammate?)
- True workspace isolation with role-based permissions
- AI writing (Nova) trained on each client's brand voice
- Mobile approval links so clients don't need yet another login
- One price for the whole agency, no per-seat or per-post fees
